Pictures of daycare dogs at Gibson Kennels.    The Dogs love playing in the water and with balls....let us put them together and see what fun happens.   Dog Daycare is a place where busy "dog parents" can drop their dog off for the day while they work or run errands. At dog daycare your dog will have the chance to meet lots of other dogs and run, play, jump, fetch balls, play tug of war...in other words your dog gets to be a dog! At the end of the day you get a well exercised and a well socialized pet. We have 3 large outdoor play yards, plus one daycare only indoor play room and the use of our 2000 sq foot training room for days when the weather does not cooperate.  Balls, frisbees, toys will be supplied at all times. There are scheduled events such as nap time and cuddle time. We will also work on some basic manners and obedience skills. Our friendly, experienced staff are always there to supervise playtimes.

Requirements - All dogs must have current vaccines of Distemper(1 or 3 year), Rabies(1 or 3 Year) and Bordatella(every 6 months) is a mandatory requirement. Dogs over 6 months must be spayed or nuetered. There is a screening process to judge the temperament of each dog entering the daycare program. Contact us to make your dogs appointment. Doggie Daycare interveiw fee is $30, if dog passes then fee is put towards 1st day cost $25 + $5 expenses.

Q: What does the screening process entail? A: We introduce your dog to other dogs to make sure they get along with dogs of  all sizes and temperaments. We slowly work up to bringing the dog out into the yard. Some dogs are ready for this right away, while others may take a few tries before they are comfortable. We also make sure the dog is not possessive of toys or food and that we can handle him/her.   Q: What do the dogs do at daycare all day? A: They play with toys, wrestle with each other, snooze in the sun, play in pools when the weather is warm enough, get snuggles and pets from the staff.   Q: How closely are the dogs supervised? A: There is always someone in the yards with the dogs. On average, there are no more than ten - twelve dogs for each employee.   Q: How often will my dog be in a crate? A: The dogs have naptime in crates from 12 til 2. They may also go in for a nap if they get tired or overly excited. Older dogs, puppies, and new dogs are crated a little more often to give them a chance to rest. The daycare staff is off duty at 6PM and the dogs are crated then until they go home.    Q: Are dogs separated by size? A: No, we feel that a dog is a dog, regardless of size and that dogs coming into daycare must be respectful of all other dogs.   Q: Do you feed the dogs? A: We give all the dogs treats at naptime. If you send a lunch, we will be more than happy to feed your dog. Also, let us know if your dog has any special diet restrictions.   Q: What sort of training do you work on? A: We work on basic manners. The dogs wait at doorways, they have to sit to get the ball thrown for them. We discourage jumping and any dominant behavior. If your dog needs more work, we may give you some suggestions to work on at home, or refer you to Jackie, our trainer.   Q: What do you do when the weather is really bad? A: We play in the training room. Dogs are let outside when they get here, before and after naptime, and at the end of the evening.
